Milne Graden Garden House Holiday Cottage

This private dog-friendly holiday cottage stands alone in its own grounds overlooking the river Tweed. Garden House is part of our “Riverbank Series” of holiday cottages overlooking the magnificent Scottish river with a back-drop of open fields and mature woodland.

The traditional interiors are Nordic inspired with rest and relaxation in mind. Restful and neutral tones in earth colours provide a minimal and calming space.

Original cottage style windows deliver light filled rooms throughout the seasons and luxurious natural fabrics provide that soft country style. Holidaymakers can enjoy a generous corner sofa in the cosy sound – perfect for sinking into during those fireside evenings or enjoying the Sunday papers after a riverside dog walk.

As with all our holiday cottages, we’ve sought to reflect the variety of nature we nurture around the estate. Garden House features carefully chosen designs from award winning St Judes Fabrics.  In the twin room collagist Mark Hearld’s harvest hares dance across the headboards, whilst Angie Lewin’s “Meadow’s Edge” is used on the oversized headboard in the second double bedroom.

Vintage botanical prints are a nod to Garden House in its previous life as the Head Gardener’s home, in close proximity to the Victorian walled garden which is now our Tails of the Tweed dog park.

This holiday cottage is perfect for dog owners and their four legged furry friends. Everyone can enjoy direct access into the enclosed dog park next door, not to mention the river walks through the path at the bottom of the garden.

During Spring and early Summer, Garden House is perfectly situated to enjoy the myriad of seasonal blooms and colours.  Holidaymakers can enjoy a garden full of daffodils and then a spectacular explosion of violet and indigo provided by the bluebells in May.  Foragers can enjoy free food from the wild garlic on the miles of riverbank at Milne Graden, all you need is the basket!  Autumn brings its own breathtaking colour when the magnificence of the river is framed with the changes amongst the trees.

A haven for nature-seekers, dog lovers, walkers and fishermen – all those searching for a slower pace during that precious holiday time. Garden House is that perfect secluded getaway.
